Ah, Cinque Terre!

Haven't posted in a while. Sorry -- been without Internet access. We high-tailed it out of Rome yesterday. Had no idea where to go, but we're incredibly pleased with our choice: Moneglia, a coastal town about 20 mins north of the CT. Today we took the train to Riomaggiore and hiked all the way to Monterosso. My shirt was soaked trough by the time we hit Corneglia. So hot. So stinkin hot. But a fun time of course. Good lunch, great views, plenty of exercise. We passed this house in vernazza, the site of the huge flood in October.

  1. We've been to Vernazza, too, about 5 years ago. It rained cats and dogs but was very scenic. The minestrone I had there was fabulous. Our only complaint was the difficulty "validating" our train tickets. The conductor was not happy with us at all.

  2. So...the comment above says it is from 'Andy' but it is really from Madre, who likes to hijack Andy's google account.
