We finished our language classes yesterday. It was a great experience, both for learning the language and for making friends. We celebrated our last day with drinks, dinner and a stroll through old town with some schoolmates. At dinner, there were at least 7 languages spoken: Italian, Spanish, German, French, English, Russian, Turkish. Fun fun fun. I might take another week of classes once Caitlin starts work. For now, though, we're planning a travel week. Maybe a trip to Tuscany to visit Firenze, Pisa and Siena? Or maybe out to Apulia, the heel of the boot. We'll see. Anything to get out of Rome, where the heat and humidity are really starting to drain us.
Here's a random photo from the West Coast Trail.
