Night strolls

Walking around Rome after 9 p.m. is our new favorite pasttime. Gelato, vino, perhaps a pizza? We crossed the river for only the second time since arriving. Somehow we found our way to the Trevi Fountain among the hundreds of other sculpted sights. We thought it was funny how certain sights get all the attention, while the ones that aren't in the guidebooks are just as awe-inspiring.

Did we mention we love our new apartment? We haven't moved in yet (need to buy sheets, towels first). But we stopped by tonight right at midnight. Hundreds of people walking around the hood, but our place is conveniently located on a tiny alleyway that's not too loud. A pizzeria, a bar, a cafe and a gelateria are literally a stone's throw away.

Tomorrow: Ikea? And our first (mis)adventures on Italian mass transit.
