Made it back from Lago Bracciano just now. It was a lovely weekend: cheap, air-conditioned room, lovely views, yummy meals and hours on the beach. Getting there Friday night was a tad tricky: we missed a train and a bus on the way over there, plus we didn't know our hotel's address or location. But we persevered, and found it. Totally worth it.
Rome feels about 8 degrees cooler than when we left. Thank heavens. We're off to find bikes. Ciao.
I think I remember Lago Bracciano. Didn't they have to bump him off in Godfather II?
